VISIT BY MR. TAIWO OSUN OF C.A.U., GERMANY
On the 6th of July, Mr. Taiwo Osun of the Department of Food Economics
and Consumption Study at Christain Albrechts Universitat Zu Kiel (CAU),
Germany visited the Ogun State Desk Office of the Multinational Nerica
Rice Dissemination Project (MNRP), to seek asistance in engaging the
Nerica Extension Agents in administering Questionaire for his PhD Study.
The Title of the Questionnaire is " Impact of Agricultural Technology
and Market Access on the Welfare of Rice Producing Households in Nigeria".
The questionnaire is to be administered to both NERICA and NOn-NERICA
Rice farmers in Ewekoro and Obafemi-Owode Local Government Areas of Ogun State.

VISIT BY A RESEARCHER FROM NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC RESEARCH(NISER),IBADAN.
On Monday 28th May 2012, Mr. Adebayo from NISER Ibadan paid a visit to the Ogun State Desk Office,
to sensitize on the intended study by NISER on " Technology Diffusion and Agricultural Transformation-
The Case of NERICA in Nigeria".
Today Tuesday 5th of June 2012, Mr. Adebayo came to the Desk Office, and discussed with the ten(10) NERICA Extension Agents(EAs)
the modality for the conduct of the Study .He went through the 8-page questionnaire with the EAs,Desk Officer, the Head of Extension (Ms. Ayansanwo ), and M.& E Officer
who is to supervise the Study/EAs.
The Study is to be conducted in 2 Local Government Areas(LGA)- Obafemi-Owode and Ewekoro, and 3 Villages per Local Government. Two(2) out of each 3 Villages must be where Participatory Variety Selection (PVS)
was carried out, while the 3rd village must be a non-PVS village, which must be between 15-20km away from a PVS Village.The conduct of the Study is for a period of 2 week, while filled Questionnaires are to
be returned to the Desk Office on Friday 15th June, 2012.

VISIT BY MNRDP EXTERNAL AUDITOR
On this day, Monday, 7th May, 2012, an External Auditor from the MNRDP HQ Abuja, Mr. Lawal Olakunle of Adenusi & Company ( Chartered Accountants) arrived the Ogun State MNRDP Desk Office.The Auditor was officially received by Mr. Adewoyin E.O (Director of Finance, OGADEP), and officers at the Desk Office.

Revaluation of Ogun State Feeder Roads Rehabilitation
On Tuesday 28th of February 2012, a team from MNRDP Hq Abuja visited Ogun State to
evaluate the level of Work done by Tundis Nig. Ltd on the Nerica Rural Feeder Roads.
The Team which comprised Mrs. G.O.Usman, Mr. Adeoye Adekunle and Mrs. Obe Ene was joined at the Desk office by Engr. Tunde Faboye ( Snr. Manager, Tundis Nig. Ltd ) and
Engr. Olaniran ( Supervising Engineer).The Team was officially received & welcomed by Mr. I.A.Onasanya,the OGADEP PrOgramme Manager on Wednesday 29th of February 2012, after which the team proceeded to the field and evaluated the leve lof Completion of the Contract work done on Lot 1, 2 & 3. The evaluation work was accompanied with the use of the Desk Office Digital Camera & video Camera to capture and record Field activities.The MNRDP Team were convinced and satisfied
that Tundis Nig. Ltd has completed works on all the sites. The Team leader, Mrs. Usman commended Engr. Tunde Faboyo (M.D., Tundis Nig. Ltd)for a job welldone, and Engr.Olaniran who supervised the the entire job.
The visit was concluded on 1st March, 2012, with a wrap-up from 5.00pm -6.30pm, at the Programme Manager Office,and with the signing of documents by Mr.I.A Onasanya (Programme Manager).

BRANDING OF NERICA RURAL FEEDER ROADS IN OGUN STATE
The Ogun State Desk Office branded the Nerica Ruaral Feeder Roads in the
State. It was an activities that took the Desk office a period of 2 weeks.

INSTALLATION OF RICE THRESHERS AND MILL
On Tuesday 7th of February, 2012, Messrs Tunde and Fred of Hanigha Nig. Ltd visited the Ogun State Desk Office to couple/install Rice Threshers at the Premises of the Ogun State Agricultural Development Programme (OGADEP).
After the installation at OGADEP, the team immediately left for Moloko-Asipa for the installation of a Complete Rice Mill. The installation of the Rice Mill continued at Moloko-Asipa on 8th of February, 2012. The team came back to OGADEP on the 9th of February to service the Rice Hand Reapers, and returned same day to Moloko-Asipa to continue the installation of the Rice Mill. The team left Ogun State on Friday 10th February 2012.
